Who we are
TradeGives is a charity transparency initiative. Our website is tradegives.com. When we say "we", "us" or "TradeGives", we mean this website and the people who run it.

What information we collect
We collect as little as possible:
- Email address — only if you sign up for our launch notification list. We use this to send you a single email when TradeGives launches. That's it.
- Analytics data — if you accept cookies, we collect anonymous page view data via Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, rough location, browser type). No names. No personal data. No ad tracking.
- Referral data — if you click through to a prop firm via TradeGives, that firm may record a referral. This is standard affiliate tracking and is handled by the prop firm directly.
We do not collect payment details, personal identification, or any financial information.
How we use it
- Email address — to notify you when TradeGives launches. We won't spam you, sell your email, or share it with anyone.
- Analytics — to understand which pages people visit so we can improve the site. Anonymous aggregates only.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track anonymous site usage. GA4 only activates if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, no tracking occurs.
We store your cookie preference in your browser's localStorage so we don't ask you again. This is not a tracking cookie — it's a preference store that stays on your device.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
Third-party links
TradeGives links to external prop firm partner sites. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply. We don't control what they collect.
Charitable organisations we donate to receive total donation amounts only — not any personal data about our users or visitors.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Full stop.
The only third party that may receive your email address is our form provider (Formspree), which processes newsletter submissions on our behalf. They are bound by their own privacy policy and do not use your data for marketing.
If required by law, we may disclose data to authorities, but this has never happened and we'd push back before complying.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you (almost certainly just an email address)
- Delete your data — email us and we'll remove it within 7 days
- Unsubscribe — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link
- Opt out of analytics — decline cookies or clear your local storage preference

Data retention
We keep email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months (GA4 default). We don't store analytics data ourselves.
Children
TradeGives is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we'll delete it immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We won't email you every time we fix a typo, but significant changes will be communicated to our list.
